Job Description

Manages and implements design. Interfaces with all engineering and architectural disciplines in determining optimum constructability approach for complex rail tunnel, station, and fan plant facility design.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in design and/or construction oversight, involving pure design or translation of engineering drawings into a constructible entity. Areas in which this expertise is preferable are:

  • Railway signaling, communications and traction power
  • Complex process piping and electrical conduit layout & execution
  • Large scale rail transportation related architectural facilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with architects for space proofing of equipment and conduit routing and with other mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and communications disciplines to ensure that proper coordination is achieved and physical conflicts eliminated.
  • Acute design drawing interpretative skills in order to discern potential problems and eliminate interferences.
    Sufficient experience, track record, flexibility, imagination and determination to resolve conflicts of preference or approach by designers.
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power) or other Engineering Degree with demonstrated experience in transcending discipline boundaries.
  • Substantial experience in Microstation V8 and in preparation of complex combined services drawings.

Requirements:  

  • Candidate must be able to work out of the project team office at Two Gateway Center, Newark, NJ.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience
  • Candidate must be proficient in Bentley Microstation software.
  • Work days will generally be Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm 
  • Must be punctual and dependable.

Assist in the development of HVAC designs of the New York Penn Station Expansion complex and THE Tunnel fan plants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HVAC experience in the commercial / institutional / industrial sector of consulting engineering.

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred or relevant experience.

  • Fully proficient in Microstation V8 and ability to work in a highly standardized environment.

Requirements:
